Happy Monday! I don’t usually get all fancy in a tight-fitted dress and heels, but every now and then the perfect dress comes along that I can’t even resist. I’m usually very picky with “sexy” dresses because I’m too skinny to fill the dress most of the time (swear this isn’t me bragging..it’s a pain). The ‘Natasha Dress’ from Recherché is made to perfectly hug your body in all the right places. I feel like I’m wearing spanx on the outside because it really looks that amazing on! Of course I had to pair it with my new Zara heels that I bought online for just $50! Better get yours before they sell out.

Happy Saturday ya’ll!! Trying to get in as many outfit posts before my work trip to Vegas next week! I am totally spazzing over this Luna B Eternal Dress that I modeled and got to keep! hehe It’s one of those kinds of dresses that was made with summer in mind. It also comes in a pretty blue color! My Shoedazzle summer wedges were the perfect match for this baby doll, and I also decided to add my Society of Chic sequin clutch to transition this day look into a flirty and fun night time outfit so that I had an excuse to wear the dress all day! Gotta love summer.

I totally feel like Posh Spice today in this leggy Forever21 dress paired with an over-sized blazer from Smythe. This blazer is a total outfit saver for me in terms of keeping this look extra chic instead of extra sexy. Imagine if I walked around wearing the dress alone- not so appropriate for a daytime brunch. I’ve said this in many posts and I will say it again: Every girl needs a stylish blazer in her closet..or three! Whether it’s summer or winter time, a blazer is a closet essential that you can literally wear a million times over. Keep in mind that it’s okay to go one size up for a more relaxed and casual look. <3

Can tough guys wear pink? The answer is, why not? Wearing traditional denim and plain dress pants gets boring after a while which is why it’s time to switch it up! You need variety! You need pizazz! One great pair does wonders for your wardrobe because it can act as the base for 90% of the outfits you put together.  Have I persuaded you yet? I recently listed colored pants as one of our top 5 trends to try for spring/summer and now I shall elaborate.

How to Correctly Pull Colored Pants (be careful!)

Tip #1: Stick to one pop of color. It’s easy to obsess over color once you try it and actually look good wearing it. Keep in mind that you never want to over do it unless you are color blocking (careful! not everyone can master the color block trend!) Instead, pair your chinos or colored denim with a neutral top to offset the brightness.

Tip #2: Don’t try to match- complement instead! I’ve never been a fan of fellas who like to overly match their outfits. If you’re wearing pink pants, your first thought may be to accessorize with pops of the same color pink in other places. Try to avoid this! You want your colors to complement, not necessarily match (scroll up again to see how we made it work in today’s Spaz Outfit for men).

Tip #3: Dress it up or Down- try both! I’m not lying when I say a colorful pair of pants looks super fly with a simple white dress shirt, a tie and a sports coat/blazer. You can also dress it down by wearing a simple shirt/sweater and your favorite pair of sneakers. Try it out for yourself! The same rules apply- make sure to keep everything up top as muted and neutral as possible.

Tip #4: Work your way up to pink- no rush! Pink can be a very intimidating color for stubborn straight men to wear. Now even though we are loving the pink pants ensemble from our Daniel Cremieux outfit today, we recommend that you work your way up to pink if it’s too bright for you. Try out some mustard colored chinos. Or maybe start with a dark blue chino pant and work your way up to a brighter blue/cobalt.

It just takes some getting used to! Hope this guide was informational! Maybe now you’ll consider a colored pant in your closet for summer!?
